Pasico Ghana Limited was established over 40 years as a one-stop shop for building materials. It sold everything from cement and Iron rods to finishes like tiles and plumbing fittings. Gradually with changes in ownership as well as changing market conditions, the range of products reduced over the years.
The only product which has endured throughout this period is the Naco Louvre frame.
Naco Louvre frames where first introduced into Ghana in 1960. The louvre frame concept was introduced into Ghana when N. V. Appleton Pty Ltd (NACO) of Brisbane, Australia granted Paterson Simons & Co (West Africa) Ltd (now known as Pasico Ghana Limited) an exclusive agreement to assemble and distribute NACO Sunsash Louvre windows in Ghana.
As the Naco name became synonymous with quality and style, Pasico in the early 80’s, began the local manufacture of the Naco Standard Louvre Frame in Ghana. In this same period, Naco Deluxe Louvre Frame, an improvement on the Naco Standard Louvre Frame, was introduced into Ghana.
Widely known as the best window concept for the tropics in modern times, Pasico and Naco have become the benchmark for quality and style in the louvre frame market. Naco, to date, is the only louvre frame to be certified by the Ghana Standards Board.
As Ghana’s leading louvre frame manufacturer and retailer, Naco has become the architect’s choice. The popular Naco Standard Louvre Frame is said to be installed in the majority of homes, schools and hospitals in Ghana. The Naco Deluxe Louvre Frame is also now perceived to be the best alternative to sliding windows, as it is aesthetically superior to the Naco Standard Louvre frame and still maintains its 90% “free flowing air principle” i.e. 90% of the area of the window will allow for free flowing air movement.
As distributors of Naco Pasico also retails the following Naco products under license from Naco UK:
- Glass Louvres
- Suncreens
- Acoustic louvres
- External Metal Louvres
